Koorainadu Saree - Silk Cotton - Bright Pink and Ivory

Threads of silk and cotton handwoven in a ratio of 2:1 in the warp and 3:5 on the weft form this drape so intricately woven to precision over 4 days. Miniscule checks/kattams run across the body of this silk cotton saree, in contrasting colours of ivory and bright pink. Due to the dual nature of the colours and yarn, the saree has a double-shade appearance. The border is a 5 cm passage in between two lines of voilet. Vertical lines of pink run over the border. The pallu has lines in contrast colours of bright pink and ivory that form the tail. Seamlessly differentiated through subtlety – reminiscing a timeless tradition.The blouse is not woven along with this saree.
