Wash and Care

For Silks

Do not soak
Do not scrub or wrangle
No machine wash
Do not dry clean. The yarn tenacity will not last long
Dip the entire weave in water and dry it out.
For the first wash of Korvai technique sarees, the border and body should be washed separately, else the colour will bleed.
For stains, use soap nut/ mild detergent/ baby shampoo.
Dry in shade
Use low heat while ironing. Use a muslin/cotton cloth over and iron.
Do not spray water, it will stain on pure silk with starch in the initial uses.

 

 

For Silk Cottons

Do not soak
Do not scrub or wrangle
No machine wash
Dip the entire weave in water all at once and dry it out.
Dry in shade
Alternatively, saree can be dry cleaned in case washing is difficult.
For stains, use soap nut/ mild detergent/ baby shampoo.
Use low heat while ironing. Use a muslin/cotton cloth over and iron.
Do not spray water, it will stain on silk cotton.

 

 

For Koorainadu - Silk Cottons
