Koorainadu Saree - Silk Cotton - Violet and Light Lotus Pink

Threads of silk and cotton handwoven in a ratio of 2:1 in the warp and 3:5 on the weft form this drape so intricately woven to precision over 4 days. Miniscule checks/kattams run across the body of this silk cotton saree, in contrasting colours of violet and light lotus pink. Due to the dual nature of the colours and yarn, the saree has a double-shade appearance. The border is a 5 cm passage in between two lines of dull mustard. Vertical lines of light lotus pink run over the border. The pallu has lines in contrast colours of violet and light lotus pink that form the tail. Seamlessly differentiated through subtlety – reminiscing a timeless tradition. The blouse is not woven along with this saree.
