Koorainadu Saree - Silk Cotton - Light Pink and Bottle Green

Threads of silk and cotton handwoven in a ratio of 2:1 in the warp and 3:5 on the weft form this drape so intricately woven to precision over 4 days. Miniscule checks/kattams run across the body of this silk cotton saree, in contrasting colours of light pink and bottle green. Due to the dual nature of the colours and yarn, the saree has a double-shade appearance. The border is a 5 cm passage of olive green. Vertical lines of blue  run over the border. The pallu has lines in contrast colours of olive and blue that form the tail. Seamlessly differentiated through subtlety – reminiscing a timeless tradition. The blouse is not woven along with this saree.
